ORGANIZED KONFUSION DEMOS-SIMPLY II POSITIVE MCS
LIKE THE O.C. DEMOS I POSTED AWHILE BACK I DON'T RECALL HOW THESE CAME INTO MY POSSESSION BUT CHECKING THE WEB I FOUND THEM ON THE MOST EXCELLENT BLOG-"THE UNDERGROUND COME-UP".BE SURE TO CHECK THAT SPACE ASAP.EVERYONE KNOWS THAT ORGANIZED KONFUSION STARTED OUT AS SIMPLY II POSITIVE MCS AND RELEASED ONE RECORD IN 1987.WHAT I'M NOT SURE ABOUT IS WHEN THESE"DEMOS"WERE RECORDED.THESE COULDN'T BE FROM BEFORE 87.BUT IF THEY ARE THAN THESE TWO WERE LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF THE CURVE.CHECK IT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK...

1989 is the date most often cited. Paul C on production.
ReplyDeleteOur very first post at the T.R.O.Y. blog included
ReplyDeletethis and the OC and Biggie, Casual, Rakim, and Nas demos and more. The thing is that we didn't really label it well and by looking at the post you wouldn't even realize that all these demos were in the download. But anyone who clicked on the "Demo Listen Derby" link, got all those demos from there. Of course, before that, they came from all over the place and were just consolidated at T.R.O.Y. Not saying that nobody on TROY was responsible for leaking the demos, I don't know. I had just really got on the internet around then.
Blah, blah, wtf, I'm drunk, man. Sorry for blithering.
You've been killing shit as per usual hspussy.
Keep blessing the blogosphere with the goodies.
I did not realize that they actually released a record under the Simply Too Positive name. Thanks.
its ok,i encourage drinking while visiting this blog.what i've always suspected is that these are not demos at all-they're lost tracks from some project with paul c.that fell apart.or something like that.these aren't tracks that were recorded in someone's bedroom and passed around to labels, they're too accomplished sounding.
